About Devin

Devin is a dual citizen of Canada and the United States who was born in Vancouver, BC and moved to Los Angeles, CA with family at a young age. Having earned a degree in Film from Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL, Devin worked in the post-production sector of the film industry for a number of years. Credits include work on P.S. I Love You, The Adventures of Tintin, War Horse, Lincoln, and Drive Angry, among others.

After working in the film industry for nearly a decade, Devin returned to school at Los Angeles Pierce College and was later accepted into the Geography Department at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. After completing a Bachelor of Arts degree at UBC, Devin accepted a position as an Assistant Language Teacher with the town government of Kamisunagawa in Hokkaido, Japan.

After returning to British Columbia, Devin volunteered with Member of Parliament Peter Julian in his constituency office where he was able to apply his skills helping community members access services of the federal government. He has always been an enthusiastic volunteer, having lent a hand with Plug In America, the U.S. Forest Service, the Immigrant Services Society of BC, and various other groups and community projects.

Devin returned to school, enrolling in the Advanced GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Certificate program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and earned his certificate with distinction in 2022.

Devin’s hobbies include gardening, games of all kinds, and restoring his old Honda Insight hybrid.
